Low-Cost, High-Impact Recognition Strategies When Money is Tight

January 8, 2009
2:00-3:00PM Eastern
Effective employee recognition is tricky enough on its own…add in a disappearing budget or a spending freeze and you
can find that you are out of ideas. Poorly designed programs can send mixed messages, and despite the best intentions you can end up
de-motivating employees. Programs that were perfectly designed for your workforce a year or two ago may now be too costly and missing
the mark. Which means that at best you’re wasting money; at worst, you’re hurting yourself.
Bottom line: Although employee recognition and non-monetary/low-cost rewards are absolutely mission critical for maintaining morale, productivity
and retention, they’re high risk, requiring thought, planning and insight. The easy way out – just throwing money and rewards at people or taking
a “one-size-fits-all” approach – just doesn’t cut it. You’ve got to get it right
This 60-minute conference will show you how. Valerie Grubb, a top-ranked B21 speaker, will lay out the most common mistakes companies make with
employee recognition. And she’ll give you a blueprint for creating a recognition program that’s aligned with your company goals and in sync with
the needs of your workforce in today’s economy.
