The Power of One: A Company Culture-Changing Conference

Anxiety is both normal and natural; without it we would not be able to survive. But when collective anxiety is mismanaged, it travels through an organization in uncontrolled chain reactions, resulting in dumb decisions, unproductive conflict, and destructive office politics. That’s the bad news. The good news is that it takes only one person to break the anxiety chain reaction—and that person could be you.
This conference encourages participants to take a more objective look at their own anxiety reactions, to identify what triggers them, and to recognize how those reactions trigger spin-off reactions in others. It spells out key principles and ideas for ratcheting down group anxiety, thereby moving an organization from merely surviving to thriving.
You’ll come away from this program dismayed by the damage that can be caused by rampant employee anxiety—and reassured by the knowledge that with a few simple techniques you can radically transform the future of your organization.

Learning Objectives:
- Learn how to remain calm, clear, and collected in the face of others’ anxiety reactions.
- Examine ways to avoid getting entangled in destructive politics while still remaining “in the loop”.
- Identify techniques to break the cycle of blame and avoid becoming its scapegoat.
